First, a few more details I have started with just 2 folders on my 1TB External Hard Drive just "TV Shows" and "Movies".
I had (47) folders in the TV Shows folder all named after the TV Shows.
Now I have created two more main folders inside the "TV Shows" folder called "Airing" and "Ended".
So now when I open the hard drive I see (2) folders "Movies" and "TV Shows". When I open "TV Shows" I have (2) folders "Airing" and "Ended".
Here is what it looks like before the added information update:
1883 (2022)
Blood Ties (2007)
Carnival Row (2019)
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)
Dexter (2006)
Eureka (2006)
Forever (2014)
From (2022)
The above list is just a few of the TV Shows before I added more information.
Now I am adding more information to all the TV Shows today and so far this is how things look:
1883 (2022) (Currently - Done) (Se#1 - Ep#10) (Done)
Blood Ties (2007) (Currently - Done) (Se#2 - Ep#22) (Done)
Carnival Row (2019) (Currently - Done) (Se#2 - Ep#18) (Done)
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018) (Currently - Done) (Se#2 "In (4) Parts" - Ep#36) (Done)
Dexter (2006) (Currently - Done) (Se#8 - Ep#96) (Done)
Eureka (2006) (Currently - Done) (Se#5 - Ep#77+8 webisodes) (Done)
Forever (2014) (Currently - Done) (Se#1 - Ep#22) (Done)
From (2022) (Currently - Done) (Se#1 - Ep#10) (Returning - Se#2 on 4/23/2023
I will explain each new part of the added information:
(Currently - Done) "This means there are currently no new episodes of this show airing"
(Se# - Ep#) "This shows how many current Seasons and Episodes are currently out"
(Done) "This means the show is no longer airing or expected to air any more episodes
(Returning - Se# "Date") "This means the show has no current episodes but is expected to air on the written date"
I will place all of the (Done) TV Shows in the new folder named "Ended".
TV Shows with (Returning) will be placed inside (Airing).
So here is how I plan to quickly get the information for each TV Show.
(1) I use the "Notepad" Program from Windows 10 accessories section
(2) I open the current un-edited TV Shows list
(3) I type (Currently - Done) (Se# - Ep# ) (Done) And I highlight it and place it onto the notepad on the first line
(4) Next I create a line like this (Returning - Se# on "DATE") I leave the word date I can paste over it later
(5) Now I go to Wikipedia and look at each show from the top of the list to the bottom of the list
(6) Example: I'm currently on "Kung Fu The Legend Continues (1993)" To the right you will see the "TV Show - Title created by: based on and a lot of other information like "Starring" as well. "Information I'm looking for is how many seasons and how many episodes in total". And if any more seasons or episodes are coming out. And then I place that information on the list.
(Example: "Kung Fu The Legend Continues (1993)" Seasons (4) Episodes (88) and the show has (Ended) now this is all the information I needed)
So what I do is I copy the first line on "Notepad" and then paste it after the TV Show title on the list:
(1) It looks like this: Kung Fu The Legend Continues (1993)
(2) Now I copy this text: (Currently - Done) (Se# - Ep# ) (Done)
(3) Now I paste the copied text right after the TV Show title
(4) Now this is what it looks like: Kung Fu The Legend Continues (1993) (Currently - Done) (Se# - Ep# ) (Done)
(5) Now I just look for (Se# and place the number 4 after # and then I look for Ep# and place 88 after #
Now the TV Shows information is all done for Kung Fu The Legend Continues
Now I move on to the rest of the shows.
There is a quicker way to copy and paste than to have to keep copying the text from the top by using "AutoHotkey".
